Check out more from the Brevard is best team here!
As a proud resident of Florida’s Space Coast for the past 17 years, I was thrilled to see our region recognized among the top 10 places to visit in North America and the Caribbean for 2025 by Condé Nast Traveler.
This recognition highlights the unique blend of attractions that make the Space Coast a must-visit destination.
Rocket Launches and Space Exploration
Living here, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing numerous rocket launches, a spectacle that never ceases to amaze. With NASA’s Artemis missions aiming to return humans to the moon, the frequency and significance of these launches are set to increase, offering visitors the chance to experience history in the making.

Bioluminescent Waters
Beyond the space-related activities, the Space Coast offers natural wonders like the bioluminescent waters of the Indian River Lagoon. I’ve kayaked through these glowing waters, where each paddle stroke illuminates the surroundings—a magical experience I highly recommend.

Sea Turtle Nesting
Our 72 miles of shoreline are not just for sunbathing; they’re also crucial nesting grounds for sea turtles. Witnessing a mother turtle laying her eggs or hatchlings making their way to the ocean is a profound experience that connects you to the cycle of life.
Cultural and Recreational Activities
The Space Coast isn’t just about natural beauty and space; it’s rich in cultural and recreational activities. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers an educational journey through America’s space program, from the early days to the upcoming Artemis missions.
For nature enthusiasts, the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge provides unspoiled landscapes perfect for exploration.
Our beaches, such as Cocoa Beach and Melbourne Beach, are ideal for surfing, sunbathing, and family outings.
The Brevard Zoo, home to over 650 animals, offers interactive experiences like kayaking through African habitats and giraffe feeding.
For those interested in history and culture, the Historic Rossetter House Museum & Gardens provides a glimpse into the area’s past.
Local Cuisine and Entertainment
Our local cuisine is a delightful mix of fresh seafood and international flavors, reflecting the diverse community that calls the Space Coast home. From casual beachside eateries to fine dining, there’s something to satisfy every palate.
Living here for nearly two decades, I’ve seen the Space Coast evolve into a destination that seamlessly blends technological marvels with natural beauty and cultural richness. Whether you’re a space enthusiast, nature lover, or someone seeking a unique travel experience, the Space Coast offers something truly special.
